Invisalign

Inisalign Queens

Invisalign is a convenient and effective option for dental patients who are in need of a straighter smile, but who wish to avoid the lengthy, unsightly, and often painful process involved with traditional metallic braces.

For roughly the same cost and the same amount of time as traditional braces, Invisalign® can correct alignment problems, close gaps, and straighten the teeth. Most patients who are candidates for traditional braces are candidates for Invisalign® as well.

Once it has been determined that you are a candidate for Invisalign, treatment begins with a detailed exam of the teeth and the jawbone. This enables us to create the patient’s personalized treatment plan to achieve optimal alignment. Digital impressions are taken for Invisalign technicians to fabricate a series of customized aligners from a specialized BPA-free plastic. You will advance to a new aligner tray about once every two weeks to achieve the gradual, but definitive shift needed to correct misalignment, crowding, etc. Invisalign is also an effective treatment for most types of malocclusion, such as overbites, underbites and crossbites.

Invisalign treatment lasts for about a year. During the treatment, the aligners should be removed only for eating and brushing, and should be worn optimally for 20 – 22 hours each day. You will be required to check in at the office every 6 – 8 weeks so we can properly monitor the straightening benefits of your Invisalign treatment.

Advantages of Invisalign Treatment:
Your personalized treatment place through Invisalign offers a host of unique benefits, including:

Comfort: Less pulling and tightening on the teeth, more subtle and gentle treatments with proven results.

Better Aesthetics: Freedom from cumbersome and unattractive metal brackets and wires.

Personal Control: The ability to remove aligner trays for eating, drinking, dental hygiene, and a bit of leeway to remove trays for special events in which you want to look your best.

If you find that much of the above applies to you, and you are determined to be a candidate for Invisalign, then the choice is clear. Invisalign® treatment is a valuable investment in your well-being. You may not know it yet, but a straighter smile allows you to more easily and effectively clean your teeth and maintain good oral hygiene. This is an excellent defense against more costly health issues in the future. Additionally, with proper alignment, you can effectively reduce your risk for temporomandibular (TMJ) disorder, bruxism, and jaw pain. Lastly, a straighter, healthier smile will enable you to have more confidence in your daily life.

She was treated with Invisalign over the course of approximately 10 months.
